NASA Space Gloves
Did you know that one of the most dangerous things for astronauts is not a cosmic collision or an extraterrestrial encounter - but their own gloves? In the past, astronauts had to take pictures of their equipment and send them to Earth for inspection. This process was slow and tedious, as each photo had to be checked by human experts before the astronauts could continue their mission. Azure Space aims to overcome this problem by using AI to detect damage and deterioration in real time.
Airbus partnership
Azure Space is not only beneficial to astronauts, but also to people on Earth who face various challenges in different industries, such as agriculture, energy, telecommunications, and government. By partnering with the Airbus Constellation, Microsoft is able to leverage high-resolution satellite imagery and elevation data to extract and analyze insights in order to help customers unlock powerful connectivity, analytics, and emulation possibilities.
